You do have a claim. An employee at your workplace negligently gave out incorrect information, and that caused you some damages. The claim may not be worth much, but you can be compensated for having to wait on the loan and for any increase in the interest rate they may give you. I can’t think of any other damages that may stem from this, but it is possible that there are depending on your specific situation.
That’s how it would work in the normal case, but without knowing exactly what happened and why your work gave this misinformation I can’t tell you for sure. It’s hard for me to think of anything other than negligence that could have caused this to happen.
IT WOULD BE A SHAME IF YOU COULD .
