There just has to be a better way. Don’t fall into this socialist trap…government caused the problem they WILL NOT fix it. Forgiving student debt is going to end up being another temporary solution to a permanent problem. Bailouts have never and will never work. But Something needs to change, I’m not sure how, or what.

I could not afford college. My high school required acceptance into college in order to graduate and promised students that if we graduated college we would be rewarded with high paying jobs. My parents cosigned my private loans because they bought into the idea that if I had a degree then I would never have to work the dirty jobs that they had to work for their whole lives. My college professors even promised students that we would have high paying jobs after graduation. Where are those jobs?

japparoad September 17, 2013 at 3:14 am

Actually, i served my country for five years to get my college paid for four years, and before joining the military i had already attended on my own dime. Im not mad at your comment, and understand your struggle, but there are better options and people need to quit pouting and playing victim.

Make sure you knock it down and have it completely paid off ASAP! As you can see, $9K unstoppered in any method (i.e. deferment, forbearance, etc.) can turn into an exponential nightmare ($18k, $27K, $36K…) real quick!

Crazcompart September 17, 2013 at 4:22 am

Companies in a roundabout way ask that same question during the hiring process…”Why should we pay you a high starting salary so that you can pay off your large student loan debt? Incurring one was your stupidity! Next applicant, please…”

Crazcompart September 17, 2013 at 4:59 am

Agreed, tuitions and related education expenses would not be the nightmares they are, had the federal government not gotten into the biggest chunk of the student loan financing industry…BUT – the downside of this would’ve been college educations going to a scant privileged few that could show financial responsibility either individually, or through their families, had student loans still been totally at the mercy of private financial institutions…It was a “Catch 22″…

Damn I feel everybodys pain here. After all forbearancees I was 112k in debt, 1200 a month for 15 years and 400 a month for 10 more years. I got a lucky break in life, and now owe 40k on my loans and I should have them paid off within 2 months.

these people really shouldve read the “fine print”. Its called living within your means. if you cant afford it, dont buy it. YOU DONT HAVE TO GO TO COLLEGE. its said many times in most videos you see to off to the right of this one. we dont need more philosophy/artists. we just like them. we need skilled labor/tradesmen. and if you want to get education, great! but that job you got during school should go towards tuition, instead of partying. i have a hard time feeling much sympathy for them.

What are you doing that gives you $4000.00+ disposable income per month.

It’s grievous to witness what BA (BS, etc.) & MA (MS, MLS., etc.) students today must endure for an university education. I’m 70 now, so I was a student of 1960s, beginning of 1970s univ. ed.. I paid such tiny tuition as undergrad at U. Mass. at Boston! Education was nearly free, really (& that was without scholarships, although I did have Vet benefits). At Kent State U., I went on on to MLS degree, still with Vet ben., aid & stipend. I worked in those years too but graduated debt free. Lucky!

ive woken up after my whole experience, going to school just for the sake of going to sch is not a good choice , students who are considering going to college, pls think of whether you REALLY REALLY want that degree which u are pursuing , if theres even a small doubt of a passion , plesase do NOT go to university, work first, explore, and when you really find what you want, u can then go to college … pls know that student loans are a very very very heavy burden .. speaking from experience

nischal bhatt September 17, 2013 at 9:25 am

my parents made me take a study loan on top of a university loan and they have money, when i told them to pay it for me first , and ill pay them back 2k each month from my salary , they refused, they’d rather i pay the bank interest…

This is a sin. Student loans need to be resolved. It is completely unfair to the students we shove college down their throats and then tell them they have to pay even though there are no jobs. Anyone who doesn’t agree with me is a moron or is corrupt.

Jeffrey Hutchinson September 17, 2013 at 11:00 am

This is what I think of student loans ( check my youtube video ) Wake up and smell the fuckin` coffee!

Wayne Manzo September 17, 2013 at 11:44 am

If you are a Human Gentile in America you are considered worthless garbage and you can only make minimum wage. So, even if you take any job you can get you still can’t pay your student loans because the Super Jew Martian Klan that owns all the jobs and businesses will not pay you what you are worth. Have a PhD in Comp Engineering and get a job at an Intel research center washing the dishes in the cafeteria because you aren’t allowed to make any money in America. Wake Up!

Wayne Manzo September 17, 2013 at 12:37 pm

It’s the stupid students own fault for not taking Super Jew Klan Empire in high school witch should be a pre-req for going to college. How would you like competing in college against a collective race of telepaths that have access to all the professors thoughts and yours also. Not fair. Well, wake up because colleges are full of Super Jew Klan Martians that are only there for one reason__to meet you and eat you. You graduate and can’t find a job? I wonder why? Wake Up!

Massive Tits September 17, 2013 at 12:53 pm

Well everything I take out will be government loans. Payments will be like 50$ a month. So the plan is to actually spend 50$ on that and put another 50$ away each month so I will always have money to pay it back. That and to have something on my credit report and so on. That and I use my Credit card so I pay my credit card off each month just for that.
