DEFAULTED STUDENT LOAN & INCOME TAX RETURN?

I have a defaulted tyro loan. According to the IRS website, my income taxation reinstate was mailed on Feb. 8. Today I looked at the reinstate site and saw this notice: Your reinstate might be marked down to compensate a past due requisite such as kid support, an additional sovereign group debt, or state income tax. I called the FMS series to see if there were any debts listed opposite me, and nothing were. So, what have been the contingency which I’m going to get my refund?
That is, I do not assimilate because I unexpected got this notice after my reinstate was mailed and if nothing have been listed opposite me on FMS, because did I get the notice at all?
Yes, I’m perplexing to work out something with the debtors, only haven’t reached a resolution yet. Thank you all so much!

You’ll probably get your refund. However, you’re probably going to get a letter regarding your obligation. I wouldn’t cash the check. Why don’t you call the IRS and work out a payment plan?

If FMS says that you’re not flagged, then you’ll get your refund. That notice is boiler plate, everyone sees it.

no if you defaulted on your student loans then it will not hold back your tax refund. but if you are having financial hardships i advise you to send a letter of deferment of hardships to your student loan organization. student loans can garnish your wages, stay on your credit report FOREVER ( really even if you file for bankruptcy you still will have to pay those student loans back)

If they show no offset, you will get it.

And getting a resolution to rehab your student loan bills is easy-my sister was scared to death, and they worked with her 100%. Good luck.
