does everyones standing contend this as a warning?, cuz the usually debts i have is on my gas credit card($125)….does which count? or have been they articulate about loans and things similar to that.

That’s a boiler plate warning that everyone sees. And no, your refund cannot be offset for a credit card debt.
Although the IRS can’t tell you anything about the particulars of an offset you can get that from the FMS autoresponder at 1-800-304-3107.
Yes, that’s on everyone’s Where’s my Refund screen – it doesn’t mean that it applies to you. You’re OK with only the debts you mention, they can’t take your refund for that.
how about if u owe student loans.. can they take it out from there

They are BOTH correct.It is a general statement on ALL inquires. It doesnt mean you owe it just means IF YOU OWE they will catch it and they will take it. But if you know you owe nothing then nothing is what they will take.Makes you sweat though huh ??
Thanks for all the information guys. I got the same tax topic #203 and was scratching my head trying to figure out what in the world they were talking about. Still makes me sweat though, the government makes me a bit nervous. They don’t seem to have to follow the same rules the rest of us do. It would be nice if they also told us that a tax topic was generic.
